Meet Emir

Emir Owusu-Ansah, LAMCH

I’m a therapist who’s passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and real again. My work centers LGBTQ+ people from underserved communities creating space to show up fully, without having to shrink or edit yourself.

I know how heavy it can feel to carry the pressure of being strong, holding it all together, or trying to figure out where you fit. Therapy with me is about letting some of that weight go. We’ll talk, laugh, question things, and get real about what’s holding you back. I’m not here to lecture or “fix” you, I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself and find your rhythm again.

Our sessions will be real talk, no judgment, a little humor, and a lot of compassion. I pull from trauma-informed care and CBT to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a way that actually makes sense. We’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and build tools you can use in everyday life, so therapy doesn’t just stay in the therapy room.
